  • October 18-23, Prof. Zoltan Kato from the Institute of Informatics, University of Szeged, visited our group and gave presentation entitled by "Sensing the 3D world from 2D images: Mobile visual computations".
  • October 7-14, Prof. Peter Balazs from the Institute of Informatics, University of Szeged, visited our group and gave presentation entitled by "Computerized and Discrete Tomography".
  • October 12-15, Tibor Lukić participated in the COSCH Management Committe & Working Groups Meeting: "IMAGING TECHNIQUES: THE NEEDS OF END-USERS", held in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

  • July 26 - August 04 Tibor Lukić visited the University of Debrecen, Department of Computer Sciences, Debrecen, Hungary. His research collaborator was Prof. Benedek Nagy. The visit was supported by the DOMUS project of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
  • July 09-18, Buda Bajić participated in the 23rd Summer School on Image Processing (SSIP), held at the University of Szeged, Department of Image Processing and Computer Graphics, Szeged, Hungary. She gave presentation "Performance Evaluation of Potential Functions for Regularized Image Enhancement".
  • July 09-18, Tibor Lukić was lecturer at the 23rd Summer School on Image Processing, organized by the University of Szeged, Hungary. He gave presentation "Regularized energy-minimization methods in image processing".
  • July 07, Lidia Junger defended her master thesis entitled "Mathematical models in discrete tomography" at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Novi Sad, Serbia. Mentor: Tibor Lukić.
  • April 10-22 Tibor Lukić visited the University of Szeged, Department of Image Processing and Computer Graphics, Szeged, Hungary. His research collaborator was Prof. Zoltan Kato. This visit was organized within the Domus Hungarica project of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

  • February 23 - April 1 Buda Bajić visited the Centre for Image Analysis, Uppsala University, Sweden. The stay was financially supported by Vetenskapsrådet. March 17-18, Joakim Lindblad, Nataša Sladoje and Buda Bajić Papuga participated in the Swedish Symposium on Image Analysis held in Ystad, Sweden.   • November 20 - December 2 Tibor Lukić visited the University of Szeged, Department of Image Processing and Computer Graphics, Szeged, Hungary. His research collaborator was Prof. Peter Balazs. This visit was organized within the Domus Hungarica project of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
  • November 3, Tibor Lukić participated in the conference on nuclear and analytical techniques in cultural heritage "LANTERNA", held in Galerija Matica Srpska, Novi Sad. He gave presentation about objectives, work and collaboration within COST-COSCH project.
  • October 22-24, Joakim Lindblad, Nataša Sladoje and Buda Bajić participated in the International Conference on Image Analysis and Recognition held in Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal. Buda gave presentation "An Evaluation of Potential Functions in Regularized Image Deblurring".
  • October 1-9, Prof. Benedek Nagy from the Department of Computer Science, University of Debrecen, visited our group and gave a brief course on Digital Geometry with applications in Image Processing. Interview for Radio Television of Vojvodina (in Hungarian).
  • July 9-18 PhD students Marija Delić, Vladimir Ilić, Slobodan Dražić and Buda Bajić, attended The Summer School on Image Processing, organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, Croatia.
  • February 15 - March 2 Nataša Sladoje visited Centre for Image Analysis, Uppsala University. The stay was financially supported by Vinnova. Nataša discussed possibilities for further collaborations with the colleagues from CBA.

  • December 5, Nataša Sladoje participated at the annual meeting of the Project III 44006 held at the Mathematical Institute SANU in Belgrade. Nataša presented the results of the subproject in which DIP group members Joakim, Tibor, and Nataša are included.
  • December 1-10 Tibor Lukić visited the University of Exeter, College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences, Exeter, England, UK. His research collaborator was Prof. Jovisa Zunic. This visit was organized within the COST Action TD1201 Colour and Space in Cultural Heritage (COSCH) project.
  • November 6-8, Prof. Zoltan Kato from the Institute of Informatics, University of Szeged, visited our group and gave a brief course on Application of Markov Random Fields in Image Segmentation. Three times two lectures covered the following topics:
    • Segmentation as pixel labeling
    • Probabilistic approach
    • Energy minimization
    • Parameter estimation
  • Sept 23-27 Nataša Sladoje and Joakim Lindblad attended the 7th workshop "Medical Image Analysis for Early Detection of Cervical Cancer", organized by Prof. Ewert Bengtsson at the Centre for Image Analysis, Uppsala University, Sweden

  • April 22-26, Nataša Sladoje and Joakim Lindblad visited Prof. Sven Lončarić, and the Image Processing Group, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. During this stay they gave two invited talks.
  • March 25-27, Nataša Sladoje participated in the Management Committee meeting and the First Working Group Meeting of the COST Action TD1201 Colour and Space in Cultural Heritage (COSCH), organized by the FH-Mainz - University of Applied Sciences, Mainz, Germany.
  • March 18-22, Nataša Sladoje was invited to the 84th Annual meeting of the International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (GAMM 2013), Novi Sad, where she gave a presentation "Distances between fuzzy sets and their application to image processing".
  • Januar 25 - Februar 15, Nataša Sladoje and Joakim Lindblad visited the Centre for Image Analysis, Uppsala University, Sweden. This stay was a second part of their guest researchers visit during which they continued with activities related to the course/workshop, Models and methods for precise image analysis. Joakim gave a seminar presentation.

  • December 13, Nataša Sladoje and Joakim Lindblad gave talks at the Seminar for Probabilistic Logic (chaired by Prof. Miodrag Rašković) at MI SANU. Nataša talked about "Coverage Segmentation by Energy Minimization – A practical example of sub-pixel image processing". Joakim's talk was entitled "Distances between fuzzy sets and their applications to image processing".

  • September 20-21, Nataša Sladoje and Joakim Lindblad gave invited talks at the First Croatian Computer Vision Workshop (CCVW 2012), Zagreb, Croatia, 2012.
  • September - October, Nataša Sladoje and Joakim Lindblad visited the Centre for Image Analysis, Uppsala University, Sweden, as invited guest researchers. During their stay, they organized a PhD course in a form of a workshop,Models and methods for precise image analysis.
  • March 19-22, Attila Tanacs of Szeged University visited the group and kept a much appreciated mini course on Image registration. Covered topics are:

  • April 9-13, Nataša Sladoje and Joakim Lindblad visited the Department of Image Processing and Computer Graphics at Szeged University. In addition to fruitful research discussions taking place, Nataša and Joakim also kept two talks on recent results:
